As we were planning out our post for the Not Your Father's root beer float, our wheels just got to turning, and we kept thinking of all the other delicious adult floats we could make! The ideas are pretty endless but we chose three to share here.
Not Your Father's Root Beer Float:
- We started by chilling our mason jars in the freezer for about a half hour.
- Scoop in vanilla ice cream
- Slowly pour in the root beer to avoid major fizzing
Orange Dreamsicle Float:
-Chill glass in freezer for about a half hour
-Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream
- Add two shots of whipped cream vodka
-Fill rest of the way with cold orange soda, pouring slowly.
-Garnish as you please
Jack and Coke Float:
-Chill glass in freezer for about half an hour
-Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Add one (or two, we don't judge around here) shots of Jack Daniels whiskey
- Slowly fill the rest of the way with cold Coca Cola
-Garnish as you please.
OUR INITIAL EXPERIENCE... We learned the hard way that the ice cream goes in first. Not vice versa. The explosion of fizz was reminiscent of your 7th grade volcano science experiment. Here's the proof.
Not only are these boozy ice cream concoctions ridiculously yummy, they are quick and easy as pie! It's perfect to serve for a group at cook-outs and get-togethers! Also, they can easily be made virgin for any under legal age.
Shine On!
